“The recognition of His Presence is the realization of His Power”. That statement has both inspired and challenged me ever since I heard it spoken in a class many years ago by my faither in the faith. To recognize the fact is only the first step. You can’t proceed without recognizing that God is present there to help you meet your need, to lead and to provide the guidance, instruction and the restraint that is needed in your situation. But once recognized, you should act based on what you have recognized. Any ensuing action(s) should be led by this realization and that is to “reckon” it to be so. Paul says in Romans 6:11 “Likewise reckon yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive through Jesus Christ our Lord.” To reckon is to account something as true or real.
That statement is a “release” statement. In both knowing and believing this, the manifestation of God’s presence and power can be released to you and through you to others. As you and I become aware and convinced that God is present in this very moment to share and infuse His love and life, we are empowered to “do what we could not before”. Recognizing we don’t have to call God down from heaven, we can live and minister “in the present” knowing God is here and where we are right now, and is “ready for action” if we are.
When you recognize His presence as a literal Biblical fact – that Jesus is there right now where you are – you are acknowledging that you are not alone. You can do it! Go for it! Anything is possible if God is in it! If you have opened to His love and care for you, then you have also opened to His power as His child. And your Heavenly Father wants to make your life “shine” with the glory of His presence. This realization will change you and those whose lives you touch.
